Last weekend the second HungaroringClassic was held at the Hungarian Formula 1 track
Peter Auto, which organizes the magnificent Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille among other events, brought international classic car racing to Hungary in 2017. Last weekend, old Jaguars, Porsches, a bunch of Cobra replicas, and even a Deutsch-Bonnet came to Hungary for the second edition of Hungaroring Classic.
While Formula 1 is as detached from the Hungarian racing scene as possible, Hungaroring Classic embraced the local scene with over 800 club vehicles, private cars, motorcycles and tractors (!) appearing. The Hungarian Automobile Club organised a small Concours d’Elegance as a side event for these vehicles.
As for the races, here are the categories:
- Classic Endurance Racing
- 2.0 L Cup
- Group C Racing
- Heritage Touring Cup
- Greatest’s Trophy
- Sixties’ Endurance
