BERLIN, Germany — Auctionata, a Berlin-based global online auction house will hold its second Classic Car Auction on 27 February.
The first classic car auction, which was held last November resulted in a new world record, when a VW T1 ‘Barndoor’ 23 Window Samba DeLuxe from 1955 was sold after the auction for EUR 190,000 (around US$ 235,000). This result trumps the previous record held by a VW bus, which was set at $217,800 during an auction in California in June 2011.
On 27 February the second classic car auction will be held in Berlin. Over 50 cars will go under the hammer. Amongst the highly sought-after collector’s cars in this auction, a Maserati Merak, a Mercedes 190 SL, a Porsche 930 Turbo and a BMW 2002 Turbo from 1974 will be offered. The auction will be streamed live on the auctionata.com website.
The complete catalogue with detailed descriptions and images of all vehicles will be published in the first days of February.
